The project was implemented in cooperation with Abicor-Binzel Polska and is based on the latest Soldamatic welding simulators in version 6.0.

AR welding workshop

Thanks to this investment, one of the most advanced training centres in Poland using augmented reality technology for welding education has been established at the Training and Welding Supervision Centre.

Innovative training using AR technology

Soldamatic 6.0 devices, manufactured by Seabery – a global leader in the use of augmented reality technology for technical training – enable modern training both for future welders and welding robot programmers. Seabery’s solutions are currently implemented in more than 80 countries worldwide.

The Soldamatic welding simulator is an innovative training tool that enables safe, realistic and effective welding practice in controlled conditions. The training programme is based on standardized welding training curricula and official certification content used in the welding industry.

Realistic simulation of the welding process

The system provides high-quality visualisation and realistic representation of welding results. This allows trainees to practice torch handling techniques, control welding speed and maintain the correct angle of the electrode or welding wire, while simultaneously analysing mistakes and improving their skills.

The training set includes:

  • a computer with control panels and specialised training software
  • a welding helmet equipped with a display and a camera system monitoring the trainee’s work
  • a set of welding samples enabling the performance of the most common types of welded joints
  • authentic welding torches designed for various welding techniques.

The simulator enables learning and improving skills in the following welding methods:

  • MIG/MAG
  • TIG
  • shielded metal arc welding (MMA).

Expansion of the training offer

AR welding workshop

The modern AR welding laboratory significantly complements and expands the training offer of the Łukasiewicz – GIT Welding Centre. The implementation of simulators increases the efficiency of the training process, reduces material consumption and allows trainees to repeatedly practise various welding scenarios.
