Krzysztof Radwański, DEng, PhD, DSc, Łukasz Poloczek, DEng, Jarosław Opara, DEng from Łukasiewicz – GIT participated in the „AID4GREENEST – Fourth Review Meeting” in Granada 🇪🇸, presenting research results within two Work Packages:
- WP8: Oxidation and its effect on processing
- WP9: Surface considerations in creep and creep-fatigue interaction

The enormous contribution to the project solved by Professor Roman Kuziak, whose distinctive importance and experience are key in the application to join the AID4GREENEST-HOP-ON project, financed under the EU HORIZON Research and Innovation Actions program.
The meeting was held as part of the 18th European Congress FEMS 2025 EUROMAT , dedicated to #AI, modeling, and data science in alloy design and processing. Institute was also represented at the Congress by Adam Zieliński, DEng, PhD, DSc, Professor – Director of the Łukasiewicz – GIT.
The Congress highlighted that combining artificial intelligence, modeling, and data science is becoming the foundation of modern materials engineering and a pathway toward sustainable transformation of the steel sector.
Together with our #AID4GREENEST partners – IMDEA Materials Institute, EurA AG, ePotentia, Fraunhofer IWM, Universiteit Gent, OCAS NV, REINOSA FORGINGS & CASTINGS SL, UNE Asociación Española de Normalización, University of Oulu, and Université de Liège – we demonstrate that international collaboration drives innovation and advances the steel sector.
