From numerical simulations and additive manufacturing to electron beam welding, fibre lasers and advanced materials testing – on 2 September, during WELD TECH 2026, experts from Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology will demonstrate how cutting-edge research is translated into practical industrial solutions. This is an opportunity for everyone interested in exploring the latest developments in material joining technologies and exchanging knowledge and experience with leading experts in the field.
From 1 to 3 September 2026, Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology will participate in WELD TECH 2026, one of the key events dedicated to welding technologies and modern manufacturing processes. You will find us at stand E12, where we will present advanced welding technologies as well as our proprietary SW07 system for vibration stabilisation of metal structures.
The highlight of our participation will be the seminar “From Simulation to Practice: Modern Welding Technologies and Materials Testing”, taking place on 2 September.
The seminar programme has been designed for representatives of industry, research organisations and academia interested in the latest developments in manufacturing technologies. Experts from Łukasiewicz – GIT will present innovative solutions addressing today’s industrial challenges – from numerical simulation in welding process optimisation, through advanced welding technologies, to state-of-the-art materials testing methods.
Seminar programme:
- Optimisation of Welding Processes Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Kamil Kubik, BEng, MSc, Janusz Pikuła, DEng, – Łukasiewicz – GIT - Electron Beam Welding Technology in Industrial Applications
Paweł Pogorzelski, BEng, MSc, – Łukasiewicz – GIT - Industrial Applications of a Dual-Beam Fibre Laser System
Mateusz Radoń, BEng, MSc, – Łukasiewicz – GIT - Performance Evaluation of Mechanised PHW Hybrid Welding Compared with Mechanised MAG Welding
Adam Termin, BEng, MSc, – Łukasiewicz – GIT - Analysis of Selected Standards and Regulations for Brazing and Soldering Technologies
Marcin Zurek, BEng, MSc, – Łukasiewicz – GIT - Fracture Mechanics and Material Fracture Resistance – CTOD Testing of Structural Materials
Iryna Balabanska, DEng – Łukasiewicz – GIT
The seminar will provide an opportunity to explore the latest trends in welding technologies, additive manufacturing and materials engineering, while fostering direct exchange of knowledge between researchers, engineers and industry professionals. It will serve as a platform where science meets industrial practice, inspiring the implementation of innovative technologies and strengthening collaboration between research institutions and manufacturing companies.
We invite you to join us at the seminar and visit Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology during WELD TECH 2026.
