In recent months, the Welding Centre has welcomed students from welding technician classes at the Wincenty Pol Technical School Complex in Gorlice and the Walery Goetel School Complex in Sucha Beskidzka.
The students had the opportunity to learn about the work of our specialized laboratories, see state-of-the-art welding technologies in action, and test their skills using welding simulators and extended reality (XR) training stations.
We were delighted to host these future welding professionals at our Welding Centre.
During their visits, our researchers introduced the students to the activities of laboratories specializing in arc welding and cutting, electron beam welding, laser technologies, plastic bonding technologies, and resistance welding. The students gained insight into advanced technological solutions used in research and industry, while also learning what the day-to-day work of welding specialists looks like.
As always, the modern welding simulators in our extended reality welding laboratory attracted considerable interest. Demonstrations of laser welding generated just as much excitement, bringing plenty of enthusiasm and smiles to the faces of the future welders.
As part of the Social Responsibility of Science programme, we create opportunities for students to experience the world of advanced technologies from the inside and discover the wide range of career paths offered by modern welding engineering. We are proud to inspire young people to develop their passions and expand their technical knowledge.
