Reliable Power Supply for Long-Duration Military Missions.
Modern combat vehicles, including unmanned systems, require increasing amounts of electrical power. Their power supply must remain stable even under extreme operating conditions. The Łukasiewicz Research Network, Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology and Radiotechnika Marketing are joining forces to address these challenges. .
The Łukasiewicz Research Network has launched cooperation with Radiotechnika Marketing, one of the leading private companies operating on the Polish defence market. The agreement, signed during the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, covers the development of power supply systems and electric drives. The cooperation will include, among other areas, specialised generators, electric motors, control systems and communication solutions.
Radiotechnika Marketing is a private company specialising in the design of power supply and control systems, fibre-optic communication and electromagnetic compatibility. The company employs approximately 500 people and supplies products to customers in both the defence and civilian sectors. In 2025, the company generated PLN 269 million in revenue, recording an increase of PLN 45 million.
Combining the R&D capabilities of Radiotechnika Marketing and the Łukasiewicz Research Network will enable us to accelerate the development of products and solutions in the field of power supply systems. This cooperation will allow us to develop our own technologies for the defence sector more rapidly. We see particular potential in Łukasiewicz’s expertise in the design, prototyping, testing and validation of electric motors and generators intended to operate under demanding conditions.
Marcin Powązka - General Manager of Radiotechnika Marketing Marcin Powązka
Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology in Gliwice will lead the work on behalf of the Łukasiewicz Research Network. The Institute brings extensive expertise in electric drives and electrical machines. The prototypes developed as part of the cooperation will address the needs of national and European defence projects, as well as major defence industry companies with which both organisations already cooperate.
Cooperation with private industry enables us to direct our researchers’ work dynamically towards the areas where the market needs it most... Today, our network has strong expertise in autonomous vehicles for the armed forces, whose electric motors require the highest-class solutions. I therefore hope that our cooperation with Radiotechnika Marketing will soon result in products ready for industrial implementation.
