Łukasiewicz – GIT at the International Welding Fair ExpoWELDING: Modern Welding Technologies in the Spotlight
From October 14 to 16, 2025, the International Welding Fair ExpoWELDING and International Fair of Machine Tools, Tools and Processing Technology TOOLEX were held at the International Congress Center in Katowice. These events are among the most important meeting points for industrial specialists, offering opportunities to showcase the latest technologies, exchange experiences, and establish business contacts.
As part of the fairs, Łukasiewicz – GIT organized a seminar titled: “Innovative Welding Technologies for Modern Structural Materials.” The event attracted a large group of participants who had the opportunity to learn about advanced metalworking methods – from fiber lasers to electron beam welding. The seminar provided attendees with practical knowledge, certificates of participation, and direct contact with experts who implement innovations in the welding industry on a daily basis.

Łukasiewicz – GIT experts presented topics including:
- Michał Urbańczyk, DEng – Qualification of welding personnel in manual laser beam welding (HLBW)
- Michał Kubica, DEng – Updates to the training and certification rules for International Welding Inspectors
- Paweł Pogorzelski, BEng, MSc – Electron beam welding technology in industry
- Adam Termin, BEng, MSc – Hybrid plasma welding of S700MC steel
- Cezary Kucaba, BEng, MSc – Post-weld heat treatment of 13CrMo4-5 and 10CRMo9-10 steels – case analysis
- Mateusz Radoń, BEng – Applications of dual concurrent fiber laser beams in welding of difficult-to-weld metals

Jacek Słania, Professor. participated in the panel “Labor Market for Industry”, discussing competency gaps, adaptation strategies, and challenges for vocational and higher education in the context of Industry 4.0 needs. At the same time , Zygmunt Mikno, BEng, PhD, DSc, took part in the Industry Talks panel , focused on modern solutions and the digital transformation of industry in Poland.

Our booth facilitated the exchange of experiences and the establishment of business contacts with industry representatives. Łukasiewicz – GIT consistently combines science with practice, developing modern technologies and competencies in the welding sector, contributing to the growth of the entire industry in Poland and worldwide.
