On 15 January 2026, the 17th Stainless Steel Forum, one of the most important industry events in Poland, organised by Focus Nierdzewne magazine, was held at the Museum of Metallurgy in Chorzów.

On 20 January 2026, a seminar was held for licensed welder examiners with Łukasiewicz – GIT licences on the training and examination of welders in the field of manual laser welding.

Łukasiewicz – GIT has established a modern laboratory for researching the oxidation of materials at high temperatures in a water vapour atmosphere, which will significantly contribute to a better understanding of the processes that determine the durability of materials in the energy and aviation industries.

R. Swadźba, PhD, DSc presented a paper on high-temperature coatings for TiAl alloys and nickel-based superalloys, their properties and industrial applications.

During the meeting, project partners and invited stakeholders presented research results, progress in testing, and conclusions from the project's activities to date.
