Professor Adam Zieliński, CEO of Łukasiewicz – GIT, and Hanna Purzyńska, DEng., Director of the Materials Research Centre, represented our institute at the meeting of the KMM VIN – Multi-functional Materials Network (European Virtual Institute on Knowledge-based Multifunctional Materials). This is a prestigious European network uniting leading research units in the field of advanced functional materials.
Our experts participated in the work of Working Group 2 – Materials for Energy, focusing on innovative materials for the energy sector. The meeting was chaired by Monica Ferraris, and the presented projects and discussions highlighted the exceptional diversity and complementarity of the competences of the KMM VIN member units.
During the event, a wide range of innovative energy solutions was presented, including:
- nuclear energy
- hydrogen technologies
- the offshore sector
- high-temperature installations
- energy transition
The meeting in Brussels was not only a forum for presenting research – it was above all a time for constructive discussions, exchange of experiences, and planning new joint scientific initiatives that have the potential to shape the future of European energy.
