institutes and industry from Poland and abroad. The event provided an opportunity to present the latest research findings, exchange experience and discuss developments in materials engineering, metal forming, technological process modelling, materials processing technologies and additive manufacturing. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section Manufacturing Technologies Research Group at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 GIT took part in the conference, which focused on the latest developments in materials engineering, metal forming and manufacturing technologies.<\/p><p>During the event, four papers were presented on surface preparation and coating quality, hot-rolling processes, rail head hardening, and the development of the microstructure and conference was the first-place award in the Best Paper Competition, presented to Bart\u0142omiej Walnik, PhD Eng., for the paper <em>\u201cMicrostructure and properties development of clad steel plates for special applications\u201d.<\/em>   <\/p><p>The paper presented partial results of the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 GIT project \u201cDevelopment of the structure and properties of clad products intended for special applications, particularly in the defence industry\u201d, led by Bart\u0142omiej Walnik, PhD Eng. microstructure and functional properties of clad steel plates intended for special applications. The research contributes to the development of advanced engineering materials designed to meet the requirements of specialised structures, including those used in the defence sector.  <\/p><p>The award certificate was signed by the chairman of the competition committee, Prof. Wojciech Z.
