As a result of the successfully completed doctoral procedure, he was <strong>awarded<\/strong> <strong>the degree of Doctor in the discipline of materials engineering<\/strong>. <\/p><p><strong>The dissertation entitled \u201cDevelopment and production of certified reference materials for steel and nickel alloy powders for quality control of the production process using additive manufacturing technologies\u201d <\/strong> addressed issues related to quality assurance in additive manufacturing processes. <strong>The results of the research constitute a significant contribution to the development of quality control methods for materials used in modern production technologies.<\/strong><\/p><p>The dissertation was supervised by Piotr Konieczka, BEng, PhD, DSc, ProfTit, (Gda\u0144sk University of Technology). The reviewers were: Ewa Bulska, PhD, DSc, ProfTit, (University of Warsaw), Marek Hebda, BEng, PhD, DSc, Prof. PK (Krak\u00f3w University of Technology), and Tomasz \u015aleboda, BEng, PhD, DSc, Prof. AGH (AGH University of Krakow).            <\/p><p>The awarding of the doctoral degree to Piotr Knapik is an important achievement both for him personally and for the research team at the Materials Research Centre.
