Modern laboratories, advanced technologies and direct contact with research teams \u2013 this is what visits by students and doctoral candidates from the Silesian University of Technology and Cracow University of Technology to \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 GIT looked like. Students of Environmental Engineering from the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering at Silesian University of Technology, accompanied by Marcin Sajdak, BEng, PhD, DSc, ProfTit, visited the laboratories of the Materials Research Centre at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Upper Silesian Institute of Technology. <\/strong> During the visit, participants had the opportunity to learn about the operation of the sintering line using iron ores and biomass, as well as the activities of the Classical Analysis Laboratory, the Creep Testing Laboratory, and the Laboratory for Mechanical and Corrosion Properties Testing. The students were also introduced to microscopic research carried out using a high-resolution scanning electron microscope and the ultra-high-resolution scanning\/transmission electron microscope (S\/TEM) TITAN 80-300. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

At the Welding Centre of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 GIT, students and doctoral candidates from the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics at Cracow University of Technology visited together with Krzysztof Mroczka, PhD, DSc, prof. PK. <\/strong> Participants specialising in materials engineering and joining engineering explored the research facilities of the arc welding and cutting laboratory, electron beam welding laboratory, laser technologies laboratory, plastics bonding technologies laboratory, and resistance welding laboratory. An important part of the visit was also the presentation of modern welding simulators, enabling practical skills development in a virtual environment. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
