As part of the project, a computer platform was developed and implemented in long product rolling mills to quickly simulate metallurgical processes and plastic flow and to optimise the technological parameters of the rolling process of these products. To achieve the assumed objectives of the project, research was conducted within six groups of tasks, including both the development of material models, as well as source codes for the simulation of metallurgical processes and the implementation of the developed computer platform in industrial conditions.  <\/p><p>The task of \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Upper Silesian Institute of Technology) was the development of material models and conducting microstructural testing using advanced testing techniques.
